Filed under “This absolutely has to happen sooner than later,” the delicious notion of a Burger Throwdown between city favorites Abbey Burger Bistro and Kooper’s Tavern (and their associated Chowhound Wagon) was very rapidly suggested via Twitter, noted as interesting, and possibly might happen at some point in the future for ultimate burger supremacy here in Baltimore. There was a passing reference to Travel Channel’s Food Wars possibly immortalizing the whole thing, which is a solid idea as a companion to last August’s Faidley’s vs. Gertrude’s Crabcake Throwdown filmed for Food Network’s Food Feuds.
To say the least, a throwdown between the two establishments would be interesting – I’m a huge fan of both restaurants and their burger products and picking a favorite is like Sophie’s Choice ALL OVER AGAIN! What do you think? Who has the better burger? Would you come to an event like this?

Kooper’s Tavern for the win. If it’s the Wagon vs the Bistro, then the Bistro for the win. So maybe the bistro needs a wagon! Baltimore needs more food trucks!
