Tonight marks the 3rd Ignite Baltimore event taking place at the Windup Space on North Ave., 6pm. The multimedia event places speakers on a stage with 20 Powerpoint slides, and 5 minutes to say whatever it is they have to say. I have only attended one of them but it was a fairly interesting to see the wide variety of discussion topics. From surviving the first year of a 2.0 company to Councilman Bill Henry’s “Perfecting the Union,” a slightly longer than 5 minute presentation on the need for citizens of Baltimore to become engaged in the civic process – most of the presentations were engaging to say the least. |
Tickets are more than likely all given out, but the event is free and there’s 99% chance anyone without a ticket will be able to get in.
Plus, there’s free pizza from the outrageously tasty Joe Squared! So go!
