Centro Tapas closes, area residents may have to travel roughly one mile for Tapas

Baltimore Diner dropped the news the other day that Riverside’s fancy pantsy former-Bicycle restaurant Centro Tapas has closed its doors, after two years of service. This is extremely sad news, as the city of Baltimore now has fewer than ten restaurants dedicated to serving tiny bits of food at pretty high prices. Baltimore Restaurant Week – other ways to spend $35.11 for dinner!

As you may be aware of, last Friday marked the beginning of Baltimore’s Summer Restaurant Week, during which oodles of area restaurants strut their stuff by offering prix-fixe menus at $20.11 for a lunch, or $35.11 for (usually) a three-course dinner. Delia Foley’s expands wing selection, 30 flavors now available

So after checking out Howard’s newish happy hour and sampling their smoked chicken wings, I suddenly felt the need to travel as soon as possible to Riverside’s Delia Foley’s (1439 S. Howard’s of Mount Vernon now has a bar, decent happy hour

Apparently a few months ago Howard’s (Delly) of Mount Vernon (900 C Cathedral St., Mount Vernon) had a bar installed as they expanded to an adjacent property, and now have a pretty sweet happy hour on their hands (5-8pm M-F). What with these newfangled Facebook page upgrades, non-person entities like Chex-Mix, GEBCO and even we here at The City That Breeds can now create our own events and leave obnoxious comments on the Baltimore Sun’s posts! At any rate, in that vein it’s time we started making things even more fun around here, so without further ado you are cordially invited to “Breeders Night” (get it?) at Club Hippo (1 W Eager St., Mt.
