Tonight marks the 3rd Ignite Baltimore event taking place at the Windup Space on North Ave., 6pm. The multimedia event places speakers on a stage with 20 Powerpoint slides, and 5 minutes to say whatever it is they have to say.  I have only attended one of them but it was a fairly interesting to see the wide variety of discussion topics. From surviving the first year of a 2.0 company to Councilman Bill Henry’s “Perfecting the Union,” a slightly longer than 5 minute presentation on the need for citizens of Baltimore to become engaged in the civic process – most of the presentations were engaging to say the least.

Tickets are more than likely all given out, but the event is free and there’s 99% chance anyone without a ticket will be able to get in.

Plus, there’s free pizza from the outrageously tasty Joe Squared! So go!

BACON AND BEER HAPPY HOUR AT BAD DECISIONS (1928 FLEET ST.) MONDAY, JUNE 1ST – LOCAL BACON CELEBRITIES (and me) WILL BE THERE, TALKING ABOUT BACON! AND EATING BACON! AND DRINKING BACON!!

That’s right folks, stop by on Monday and meet and or greet local fans of bacon and beer. I’ll be bringing some of my (ultra) locally famous bacon vodka and a very special, magical food item: bacon ginger snaps.

Yeah. You heard read me. A fruend of mine sent me the recipe, and I made them. They’re actually quite normal tasting, but I’ll let you all be the judge.
