Everybody loves Mad Libs. It’s a scientific fact. And at some point recently the thought occurred to me: “Hey there should be some Mad Libs about Baltimore, that’d be pretty funny.” And then I thought “Hey I should run a contest where I make a Mad Lib about Baltimore and people fill it out and the best submission wins, that’d be pretty funny.” And so here we are folks:  we’ll be launching a “Baltimore Mad Libs” contest, with totally awesome prizes for the best “fill in the words” for a Mad Lib about Baltimore we’ve provided. If it does well, we’ll make more in the future. (If you’ve been living in a cave for the past 30+ years and just recently attained internet service and don’t know how a Mad Lib works, go here)

The “fill in the blanks” Mad Lib will go live tonight and submissions will be accepted until Midnight Sunday. The best ones will be featured in a future post all their own and will win a prize package consisting of some seriously awesome stuff.

So get your creative juices flowing people, let the zany hilarity ensue!

The cast and crew of The City That Breeds made its way to the Timonium Fair Grounds yesterday for the 10 billionth annual Maryland State Fair. Very little changes from fair to fair; the food is pretty great, the watermelons are still gigantic, the cows still smell, the rides are still way too expensive and the belt buckles all have confederate flags on them. So if you’ve got 8 bucks to spare and you want the opportunity to eat some deep fried oreos and see the world’s largest pig, this is the place for you!

The MD State Fair runs from August 27th until September 6th

Dear SpaceManAndy,

I have a problem — I am too desirable.

I realize this doesn’t sound like a problem. I mean, who wouldn’t want
girls and guys throwing themselves at you, demanding your attention,
and wanting your mouth on their body. But you see, the problem is,
sometimes you get attention from someone you’re not interested in.
Someone who is just undeserving of all of the awesome that you have to
offer. This is what I am currently struggling with.

There’s this person who will just not leave me alone, or take no for
an answer. They’re constantly texting, Facebooking, and Tweeting at me
to hang out and be their bffl. Andy, I do not want to be their bffl,
their bff, their bf, or their f. I just want them to leave me alone.

The last time I tried to hang out with them and give them a chance,
the whole evening was very awkward, and ended with them trying
multiple times to put their mouth on mine. I’m all for casual hookups
and mouth on mouth interactions, but they just don’t do it for me. Too
pushy and awkward. I almost pulled a neck muscle trying to dodge their
many advances.

So what do I do, Dr. SpaceMan? Drop some knowledge on me.
