And so it was that plucky crazy awesome rock opera company BROS (Baltimore Rock Opera Society), in anticipation of their upcoming production Murdercastle, launched an Indiegogo campaign in an effort to raise $20,000 so they could take their production on tour and expose the rest of the East Coast to their bloody, rock awesome shenanigans. Long story short, with less than a day to go (as of 03/30/2013) they’re over their goal by about $1,100 – fantastic news. The video telethon spoof contained within the campaign alone is worth the price of admission (free, unless you consider clicking a button a fee) and if you’re inclined to contribute to their campaign, a $100 donation will score you 2 tickets to the upcoming production in May and 2 free beers. And a warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart(s?).
Ticket information coming very soon, I’ve taken a tour of the shop where all the set pieces are being built and it looks like everything will be as amazing as it should be. And if you’re in the market for an interview with BROS quartermaster of puppets John Marra, b has that for you here.
(there may also be a very special guest vendor slinging very special guest concessions present throughout the production, but that’s neither here nor there.)
