Heavy Seas Ale House opening tonight at 5pm

Per their Facebook page, the newly minted Heavy Seas Ale House (1300 Bank St., Fells Point) will be opening today at 5pm for what could only be described as an incredibly soft opening. I won’t be able to check out the Hugh Sisson / Pat Dalghren powerplay, but if you do let us know how it was/is – yay beer!

    No kidding about the soft opening.  Hugh and the gang are not shy about promoting their ventures, so how am I just now learning of it?

    Awesome. Baltimore is a city that deserves a few brew pubs. Will there be a micro brew in house?

      Yes.  On tap are the Heavy Seas beers and then a great selection of bottled micro brews.  Come down and enjoy!!

    went there on Wednesday. Maybe its just me, but the ‘pint’ glasses didn’t seem to be 16oz and the wine pours were extremely small. Good onion rings though.

    The space is nice, but then again that space has always been nice. Hopefully the place is not cursed and Heavy Seas can stay in there longer than that crappy Tsunami joint and the Tex-Mex place that closed before I could use my Groupon for it. 
    But uh…$5 for a Loose Cannon?  I’d hope to get a better deal.  I’ll come back now and again for special stuff but when I normally pay $2.15 for a Loose Canon at happy hour I can’t justify leaving that bar stool for this one.  Speaking of the bar it’s too cramped at Heavy Seas.  Not much room on a stool and no room to mingle near the bar.  Cramped and poor flow.  Those onion rings look damn good though.
