A “significant” number of women had sex with the Italian prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, for money at his residence near Milan, prosecutors alleged in a document published today.

Not actually sure about the full count. The probe into the parties is still going on. Europeans have different ideas about acceptable behavior by politicians (compare Clinton and Chirac). It’s possible that the Italians might ignore the more salacious details. It’s also possible, considering Italy’s somewhat relaxed relationship with the rule of law, that the probe won’t have any consequences at all. This is just speculation, I don’t have any expertise in Italy.
