I stumbled upon Google SketchUp today while navigating through Google’s labyrinthian selection of free software selections, and it’s pretty damn sweet. It’s essentially a free CAD program (sort of) you can use to design wacky buildings, or potentially real ones. Had I an internet connection at home I would immediately be accompanying this entry with botched attempts at creating my fabled Underground House, sadly this is not the case and it’ll have to wait for an updated entry at a later date. In the meantime, here’s an example of the POWER of this wondrous application:
